NotesTop
1871 census (RG 10/1759/94/p12) has two grandchildren, Thomas Curtis age 2 and Ellen Curtis age 12, living with him. Also a child named William Knappitt described as a "nurse child", a term used at the time for a foster child. Thomas is probably the Thomas Clod appearing on the 1881 census, in which case he is Sarah's child.
