Her marrige certificate gives George Aylwin as her father.
On the marriage certificate for James' second marriage to Esther he describes himself as a widower. However, none of the Mary Berry deaths within the time frame of 25/04/1857 - 24/12/1859 within a reasonable radius of Fernhurst are Mary Enticknap.Mary Berry deaths in Sussex within the timeframe:
Midhurst/1858/Mar/2b/246 - Wife of William Berry, age 24 at time of death Hambledon/1859/Sep/2a/63 - Wife of Thomas Berry, age 47 at time of death
It seems that her death was not registered, or if it was registered somehow got missed off the GRO index. |
